DOES ANYONE RECOGNIZE THESE FAMILIES??

I am interested in Thomas R. WEBB and wife Calistine. We believe there may be a connection between them and our elusive ancestor, Thomas R. WELCH. We have not been able to determine the parents & siblings of Thomas.
They were neighbors on the 1850 Robertson, Tx Census; there is at least one land grant for Thomas WELCH that is witnessed by Thomas R. WEBB; both Thomas' appear to have been in Missouri before coming to Texas, perhaps traveling together. The oldest WEBB child Thomas is stated as being born in MO in 1840.
Another connection is that Thomas and Amanda WELCH named one of their children Harriett Calistine. One theory is that Calistine WEBB was a midwife and probably delivered the WELCH children.

Thomas H. WELCH and Amanda (Middlebrook) WELCH are the parents of my grgrgrandmother Sarah Jane WELCH.
Thomas and Amanda must have married sometime in 1848. Could have been Limestone County, Navarro County, Robertson County....but so far we have failed to find a marriage license.
The only hint to his possible age and place of birth is the 1850 Robertson County Census which indicates he was 26 years old and born in Missouri. He is enumerated with wife Amanda and son Charles I. WELCH, age lyr.
Thomas paid taxes in Robertson Co.1849 to 1851, skipped 1852.
Paid again in 1853 skipped 1854.
Paid Taxes in Karnes County, 1855.
That is last known of him.
No mention made of wife Amanda since 1850 Census.
Shortly after Amanda died, the children, Charles, Sarah and Harriet went to live with William Mansfield Garrett and wife, Margaret Ann (Byars) Garrett. When Thomas was no longer in the picture and guardianship was asked for, the first to ask was William M. Garrett and supposedly he got it., or was about to.
DISTRICT COURT CASE: Case before the court. Jane C. Galloway filed suit to become the guardian of Charles I. Welsh, and his two siblings, Sarah Jane Welsh and Harriet Calistine Welsh. Filed in District Court Office, Karnes County, Texas Minute Book A, Page 84., Filed April, 1859.
In 1859, Karnes Co.,TX., Grandmother Jane C.(Crawford) MIDDLEBROOK GALLOWAY applied for and was appointed guardian of three minor,surviving children, Charles I. WELCH, Sarah Jane WELCH, Harriett Calistine WELCH.
1860 --Jane C. Galloway paid taxes on the minor Welch children

Located off of Farm Road 979 between Calvert and Owensville. When heading from Calvert towards Owensville, you will pass County Road 127 (which goes to the Rose Hill Cemetery) on the left. County Road 133 (which goes to the Mount Vernon Cemetery) will be on the right. Just after 133, turn left and drive down the road. The cemetery will be on the right where the road forks.
