I don't know. My interest was because my grandfather, C. C. Ayers, married to Mamie Webb Hood, lived in Kosse, Limestone CO, TX. It is only a few miles apart and the County Clerk in Franklin, Robertson CO, TX, alerted me to the similarity when I was checking out my family.

My grandfather's given name was Clarence Clive Ayers. His father, Rodney Ferrell Ayres was born in Attala CO, MS to L. and Elizabeth R. Ayres. We believe his name could have been Lansford or Lunsford. Do you have any connection to these names?

Elizabeth's maiden name could be Redding and she may have been married before (around the Civil War) to a Long.

Thanks for your response,
Ruth B. Juren
