Are you SURE about dates and other info on this fellow?

Not trying to doubt you but my granddaddy's first cousin was Monroe MARTIN born and raised around BREMOND but born more likely about 1851 not 1831 and died around 1951 there near age ONE HUNDRED.

Could this be some typo?
