Hicks Family in Robertson County TX in 1837

William H. Wheelock and his brother George R. Wheelock stated in their testimony on March 17, 1888, that my ggrandmother had arrived in Robertson County in 1837.

The Wheelock men were giving statements for Margaret Ellen Hicks Boland on her Mexican War Widow's pension application. Both men stated that Margaret Ellen Hicks had arrived in 1837 with her parents and they had known her since her childhood.

William H. Wheelock served in the Mexican War with William Jason Boland, Margaret's future husband. William Wheelock brought William Jason (who was a Georgia Vol.) back to Robertson County in Nov 1846. William Jason was very sick and had been discharged from the army.

William Jason Boland and Margaret Ellen Hicks married in March 1848 in Robertson County...and were married by John M. Woods, Justice of the Peace.

Does anyone know of a Hicks family that arrived in Robertson County TX in 1837?
