My Great Grandfather was James Monroe Hancock. He was married to Melissa John and they had 9 boys as far as my records show but this Minerva Hancock keep showing up and the most interest part is that she named one of her son James Monroe.

Maybe we can collaborate and make some since out of who she is. I do know there is a line if Hancock's that owned or own a Furniture store in Palestine. I have never pursued this but one of them was James Monroe Hancock also. The story I have is that there are/was two brothers that ran that store.
