just a thought ... the railroad runs right thru middle of town (then & now) ... it may have been the "round house" hotel & cafe. just returned from Calvert in search for my great grandfather, Thomas Gillespie, a carpenter who may have helped build some of the beautiful homes there in the 1890s.
