I'm looking for information on my great grandfather Shelby Nichols. I have very little information on him and have had no luck finding any information about him. He was born around 1916 and died in the 1970's. He had a sister named Ruth Davis (probably a married name). He was a farmer and lived next door to Evalina and Coy Galbreath in 1939. He lived in either Aransas, Woodsboro, Refugio, or Rockport. He never married my great grandmother Rosie Owens but they went to a justice of the peace at a courthouse in either Aransas or Refugio to get married. At the last minute my great grandmother called it off (so the story goes). There might be a marriage license out there somewhere but I can't find it. Please help if you can.
