Any Reaves/Reeves who lived near Balmorhea Tx in the 1960's
please contact me, we might be kin.
Specifically, any kin of Howard Wade "Hack" Reaves 1917-2002, please contact me to share family info. Howard died 2002 in Paris, Tx. He was the son of Raymond "Pete" Reaves who died 1947 in Red River Co Tx. Raymond was the son of John B. Reaves 1854-1923 who died in Red River Co Tx. Raymond and his father John are buried in the Bethel Cemetery near Fulbright Tx.
John B. Reaves appeared in the 1900 census McLennan Co Tx census, 3 Jpct, pg 99:
John B. Reaves b. June 1854 Ark;
wife Emma b. Feb 1855 Ms;
Children:
(1)Claude b. Dec 1879 Ms;
(2)Daisy b. Oct 1878 Ms m. T.B. Jones 19 April 1907 McLennan Co Tx;
(3)John b. Sept 1883 Ms;
(4)Jessie b. Jan 1886 Ms;
(5)Callie b. Mar 1888 Tx;
(6)Joy b. July 1890 Tx;
(7) Raymond Victor Reaves b. Sept 1892 Saint Jo, Tx, married Lucy Wright 1916 in Red River Co Tx, died 1947;
only child Howard Wade Reaves b.1917 d.2002, no children.
(8) Ira, son b. Sept 1895 Tx.

A Wright cousin of Howard "Hack" said he met a Reaves cousin who lived in Balmorhea, Tx in the 1960's, so I'm hoping descendants still live in Reeves County, Tx.
Any reader who knows of any Reaves/Reeves folks in Reeves Co Tx, please let them know I'm trying to make contact to share family info.
Bill Morrow of Tishomingo, Oklahoma
