Would you know of Tom Lynch, my gggrandfather?
Tom Lynch's full name could have been Thomas W. Lynch. It is possible that his parents were Thomas Henry and Maria Jane Lynch.
Tom Lynch lived in Red River, Texas as a child.
Tom married Amanda Elizabeth Sugg in abt 1882. (Amanda had been married previously to George Cooper and had two daughters by him). They lived in Fannin County, Texas on June 13, 1886 (birthdate and birthplace of their son, Luther Dawson "Doss" Lynch), and on August 31, 1887 (birthdate and birthplace of their second son, John Henry Lynch).
In 1889, Tom and Amanda and sons lived in Leonard, Fannin County, Texas (birthyear and birthplace of their daughter Allie Mae "Katie Mae" Lynch.
On October 13, 1894, their homeplace is still Fannin County, Texas (birthdate and birthplace of their daughter, Mary Ellen "Dink" Lynch.
According to testimony given by Amanda (who later married a full-blooded Choctaw named Daniel Payton) before the Choctaw Chickasaw Citizenship Court, Tom Lynch died in 1895.
Do you know of Tom Lynch's parents or ancestral lines? Some folks in our family believe his father was born in Virginia.
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!
