Anyone ever heard of Col. Nidever wagon train...apparently the leader of a wagon train of pioneers who came to Texas from Tennessee and other parts around 1840. Bio of my ancestor states that he joined Col Nidever wagon train as a teamster and crossed the muddy waters of the Red River into Texas as such...at age 18..he was born in 1822 so would have been about 1840. I found mention of a George Nidever who traveled thru Texas and was a fur trader but no mention of any wagon train of pioneers nor a Col Nidever. thanks for any help Notify Administrator about this message?
