From "Obituaries from The Deport Times 1911 thru 1950" by Lawrence and Sue Dale:
Phillips, M.B. - 27 Feb 1920, Friday - M.B. Phillips, aged thirty-five years, died Tuesday at his home at Pattonville, after an illness of influenza which later developed into pneumonia. The funeral was conducted Friday and interment made at Bethel Cemetery. Deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mack Phillips of Fulbright, his wife and three small children. Also three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Ross Tomlinson of Paris, Mrs. J.A. Chesshir of Fulbright and MRs. Will Guest and Walter Phillips of Swink, Ok.
