Dear Patricia, I am researching Jesse Compton born March 25,1807. Married to Lucretia. I know he married Caroline Miliron after Lucretia died. Caroline then married J.H. Adams after Jesse died. Did you find out anything about this family line? Like Lucretia's maiden name or Jesse Compton's parents. I am trying to find my grandfather's birth parents. He was on a 1900 Rains County,Texas census listed as step-child of Willis Adams and Wife Hattie. I believe Jesse was his grandfather. My Grandfather's name was Virgil Newton Compton, born April 25,1893.he died Nov. 2,1978 in CA. He married my Grandmother Pearl Beecham in Oklahoma in 1911. Any information you have would be appreciated. Thanks, Debby Compton Turmelle. I believe Virgil had brother's Frankie,Hezzie,? and maybe a sister.
