My great Aunt Mary Childress married James P. Shook in Franklin Co. Ark. About 1875 they moved to Collin Co., Texas, along with sister Nancy Childress Jones. Nancy and family moved to Hunt Co. And also lived in Hopkins Co. Their sister Virginia Childress Scott and family also moved to Hunt Co., and and also lived in Delta Co. All thoses Co's are joined together. I think that James and a couple of children were on the !900 census in Hopkins Co., But have nothing after that.
wish I could be of more help.
Bonnie Childress LeBlanc
