Paul, I, too, have relatives that were born in El Polvo, but they were baptized in a different place. Families in those days often traveled to the nearest church or to the church which the god-parents attended. The Church of the Latter Day Saints has microfilmed many Catholic Church records and you can rent their microfilms and use their machines. If you are close to a city that has one of these center, then check into it. I have found a tremendous amount of information using their microfilm.
