John W. Spencer founded the American settlement of Presidio, across from Ojinaga, Mx, and was prominent in the development of the silver mines at present Shafter.

John W. Spencer married twice 1st wife was Jesusita Baeza (last name has not been confirmed) and 2nd wife Felicitas Molinar. John W. Spencer born on June 24, 1818 died September 18, 1898. Does any of the above ring a bell.

I would appreciate a reply. Thank you so much.

Deborah
