Dear Charlotte,
I have found now that my ggrandfather was Robert Thomas Rogers. He was born in Kty and moved in the 1800s to Brownwood, Texas and then moved to Altus or Mangum Texas where
he died in about 1898 or 1900. His will was listed in the Plains Newspaper. Thomas Rogers
was listed as the family spokesperson. My
grandfather was Robert Benton Rogers and he was b. 1869 in Brownwood. I have found some
of the Rogers family in the obits in Roosevelt Co. New Mexico.
I was wrong on Charlies middle name, His middle initial is H. He was the watchman for the Amarillo Globe Newspaper for a long time. I have a picture of him with a coin that was as old as he was.
Let me know if we are connected. Dad said
we were related to the Whites and Jacksons in Austin. Keep in touch. Helen Rogers Pilcher
