There was a Jim Patton who was 1st County Clerk of Randall County, Texas and then Mayor of Amarillo, Potter County, Texas from 1909-1911.
His wife was Clara M. , born about 1877 in Illinois. According to 1910 census they where married about 1893. Six children born, four living.
He sold a saloon at 109 Lincoln on June 15, 1905. He must have owned more than one saloon, he reopened one in 1903 at 413 Polk. Also at 413a Polk was James H. Patton, Wholesale and Retail Liquor, Dealer and Agent for Fred Miller Brewing of Milwaukee
