Not my family. I don't know if this will help you, but does give a different spelling of Lucritia's maiden. Must be fun trying to figure out how it will spelled next time. LOL

TX Dth Idx thru 1976:

Name: John Walker
Event Type: Death
Event Date: 08 May 1922
Event Place: Soda, Polk, Texas, United States
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Widowed
Birth Date: 18 May 1840
Birthplace: Polk, Texas
Father's Name: Bill Walker
Mother's Name: Lucritia Papanaugh
Certificate Number: 15381
GS Film number: 2074545
Digital Folder Number: 005145596
Image Number: 02422
Informant: D.C. Walker

Did you notice on the 1860 census for Polk Co, TX, Lucinda born LA, (and her children) plus a boarder W.S. Vaughn born in LA. Is he kin, or maybe a neighbor back in LA? If you could place him in a parish in LA, it might help tracking Lucretia's family, too.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
