Hello,
I am a Summers descendant and I appreciate your posting this Wills info.
A correction though: Darcus-Dorcus Coleman Waite Summers Wills was the 2nd wife of William Wills m. 1847 and the mother of William W Wills, not his step-mother; their only known child together.
I have not been able to determine who was William Wills, Sr's first wife with whom he had several children. You can see some of those children in the book, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Portrait Ancestor Album, Dorothy Burns Peterson, Turner Publishing Co, Page 294. - here's the link:

Darcus-Dorcus first husband was Caley Gant Summmers; his parents Jesse Summers m. Sarah Coate(s); all were born in SC before migrating to AL and TX.
Darcus-Dorcus parents reportedly Henry Waite, Sr. m. Eleanor Waters a dau. of Thomas Willoughby Waters m. Ellen Eleanor Summers who was a sister to Jesse Summers. So, you can see that Darcus and first husband Caley Gant Summers, Sr were related through Rev. Joseph Summers m. Eleanor Clary who migrated from MD to SC, the parents of Jesse Summers and of Eleanor Summers.
