M. W. (female) Simmons married W. F. Varner 11 Oct 1871 in Polk Co. Texas. I am trying to find out who the parents of W. F. Varner were. William F. served in Co F of the 22nd Texas Volunteer Infantry, CSA organized 10 March 1862 in Polk Co TX by Rev. J. A. Scruggs. The unit became part of Walker's Texas Division.
I have William H. Varner, born abt 1836, died after 1880, son of Joseph Varner and Lucy Cotton married Charity Jane Faircloth 17 Jan 1861.
Charity died about 1868 so I am wondering if Willim H. and William F. are the same man.
