Fireman's Hill: John,William,Madison,Adeline,Emeline,Washington DAVIES

Have a transcription of letter written in 1849 that refers to a Fireman's Hill, Polk County, Texas; also the DAVIES line, although William apparently lived in Liberty County, 30 miles from the others, who lived in Polk County. John B. Davies and William U. Davies appear on the 1850 census-
Any information or help identifying the lineage of these cousins would be appreciated.
