Ernestine, I think we corresponded before. The Rhodens' and the Grays' were in-laws. John W. Kent, who married "Jennie" Rhoden, was Lucretia A. Kent Gray's nephew. I think John was born in 1852. He was 17 on the 1870 TX census living with Lucretia. There are court records in Louisiana where his parents are listed as William W. Kent and Rachel Landfair. John and his 2 siblings were assigned to the custody of their Grandfather Uriah Kent when their parents died and later assigned to Ephraim R. Kent. Barbara Anne Novak did most of this research. The other John W. , son of Joseph Steven Kent, was last seen as a 14 yr. old on the 1870 census. Hope to put my family on the Polk Co Site someday. Beth Ann
