TAYS FAMILY IN PECOS

Looking for information on or descendents of a Tays family that lived in Pecos County, in the late 1800s-to the early 1900s. Know only that Laura Ellen Tyler, wife of Dallye(?)Jackson Tays, died there in February 1914. Dallye himself survived till 1969, dying at Edmond in Greer County, OK.

The Tays line in question, descended from Calvin Eula Tays of Tennessee, through two sons: Andrew Jackson Tays, born in McNairy County, TN, in 1854, and his elder brother, James Polk Tays, who was born in 1845. Dallye, Andrew's son, was born in 1880 in either Tennessee or possibly Corinth, Alcorn County, MS.

Laura Tyler Tays was the daughter of Robert Patton Tyler and his wife Caroline M. McCollum. The latter couple and their children migrated from Virginia and Tennessee, first to Oklahoma and then to Goodnight, Armstrong County, TX.

All leads appreciated.
