Thomas I talked to my sister today who lived in Grandfalls a lot longer than I did and she reminded me of a couple of things. (1) Ducky Clements was and may still be a banker in Monahans, 18 miles N of Grandfalls and county seat of Ward county. (2) Opal Black married a Hale after she was married to Black. Sis said Opal Black did have quite a bit of money but she thinks the Mr. Hale spent most of it for her. I have another question. Are you descended from the Clements who lived around Gonzales county, Texas. If so I have quite a bit of information on them since I have a "step" relationship with them.
Jack
