J. H. Patillo was with the Sibley Brigade during the CW. He was alive, but in the CSA hospital in Shreveport on 4 May 1863. You can check 3FOLD for his CSA service record.

My interest in him is this article above. He was in the hospital with two other soldiers from Parker Co. One was George Smothers my 2nd great uncle. I would love to know if your J. H. knew if that is where George died as he never returned home. We don't know what happened to him after this date.
