According to the History of Parker County, 1980, pages 292-293 is this. "John and Mary Sherrill Dent Gibson came to Texas from Salem, Misouri in 1858 with their children, John Dent, Mary Elizabeth and James David 'Jim" Gibson. Mary had been widowed by the death of Walter Dent in Calif. gold field or enroute there in 1850s. First to Hood then over the line in Parker County along Long Creek. Six more children were born Fayette, Nora, Jane, Laura, Ellen, and Matt (William Madison)Gibson. Matt was born 1871." In Long Creek cemetery, just south of Parker line is this- J. W. Gibson 6 Feb.1832 - 15 March 1887
Mary C. Gibson 10 Sept. 1831 - 16 April 1895
The C. could be a G for Mary.
