I have found some answers I believe. Trappe Springs School was located one mile east of Garner and was believed to be in the J. C. Trappe Survey. Another interesting fact was that W. A. Thomas moved to that area when he was eight years old, attended the Trappe Springs school and in his Teens develeoped Texas 42. All this information from the History of Parker County, page 34. This history was put together by a great number of people and published in or about 1980. Mrs Sammy Skiles was the chairman of the Parker County Historical Commission Committee.
