Eugene N. Davis was born on April 15, 1851, place unknown, and ieded in Parker CO. TX at Whitt on November 17, 1926. He was married twice 1) Louisa (Louesa) Switzer by whom he had three children; John H. b. 1873, KY, Josephn N. b. 1876, KY (may have been living in Parker CO. TX, 1900 and working as a mail clerk for the railroad, and Ellen V. (Nellie)who married Lee Burkhart in 1898 in Paducah, KY, and died in Leslie,ARK in 1927. His second wife was Lucinda ________Tatum by whom he had five children; 1) Edward born about 1903,d. 1986, 2) Charles (Charley) b. about 1905, 3) Allie Mae b. 2.23/1907, d. 5/9/1970, m. James Gilmore, Sr., 4) Eugene Wesley b. 9/19/1909, d/ 12/13/1964, m. Mildred Eubanks, 5) Mary Davis, b. 1912, m. Bobby Stephens, and she died in the 1980's. All of the children of the second marriage were born in Texas. The second family lived in Whitt, Texas. Eugene Newton Davis worked for the railroad. I am a descendant of the first marriage through the daughter Ellen V. (Nellie) Davis who married Lee Burkhart. Would like to correspond with any descendants of Eugene Newton Davis.
