Thank you Joan, for your response. I did know the William Fortson family personally but appreciated the print out.
The Aaron Fortson census for DeSoto Parish with head and family is not my immediate family lines but do believe this is part of the family of William Fortson, one of my ancestors. So, nice to see that one too. The last known census for Jeptha M. Fortson, wife and son William is the 1910 Gregg Co.,Texas one. The last written proof of Jeptha that I have found is the 1912 CSA pension application papers submitted from Gregg Co.Texas. The death and burial of Jeptha and wife remain a mystery. I believe both are buried in Upshur County, Tx. This from family stories.
Very nice of you to take such interest in various genealogy postings.
