I think this Parrish family in Panola Co is my connection. I am hoping to find other researchers to learn more about this line. Here is what I know: 1846 Poll list shows 3 Parrishes in Panola Samuel C Parrish WilLiam G Parrish George W Parrish 1850 Census Panola Co Parrish William G 59 NC Elizabeth 49 VA Washington 25 TN James 23 TN Mary Jane 21 TN **William 18 TN ** this is the one I think I may be related to Dinah 13 TN Thomas 11 TX Casandra 6 TX Pamela 4 TX 1860 Census Panola Co Parrish Elizabeth C 60 VA William 25 TN Diana 22 TN Thomas 21 TX Casandra 15 TX Thomas L 5 TX In addition to the Parrish line I am interested in any information on Abernathy. The only record I have of my William Parrish is 1870 census in Kinney county. There he is listed with his much younger wife and new son with a G.F. Abernathie aged 62 born in Missouri. I did notice a JW Abernathy next to the Parrish families on some land records. But have been unable to connect the two conclusively. Any information would be appreciated. On a side note, my William Parrish is gone by the next census and his young wife has remarried. She has two sons by William Parrish but I have never found record of what happened to him. In the book, Fugitives from Justice 1878 in the Panola county section there is a listing for : Wm Parrish Robbery; commited 1867 indicted Apr 1868 Oh my. If that is my William then it would explain why he was never seen again. Notify Administrator about this message?
