Hi, Josh, You helped me fill in some of my blanks. Thanks!

Jonathan Anderson was a pioneer of Panola County and well known in Texas history. Just go to Handbook of Texas and type in Jonathan Anderson and you can see. I'm not sure which Elizabeth is your relative, but since your grandfather was Jonathan Anderson Taylor, its obvious that its from that line.

Jonathan Anderson had a daughter (Elizabeth) born in Shelby County in 1836, does that sound right for the date? I didn't have anyone filled in for her husband or children.

My relative married into the Anderson family too, it was Hannah English. Lots of history in those two families. Its hard to keep them straight because they named their children similar names.

I see other Taylors and am trying to see if anything fits with what you told us here. Do you know the last name of the Susan that married your grandfather after Elizabeth died? I supposed the last of the children were hers?
Thanks again!
Fran
