Appreciate look-ups on Watters/Waters family

I am trying to trace a branch of my Smith family that arrived in Panola Co. around 1853 from Coosa Co., AL. This would have been James Harrison Watters b. abt 1814 GA and wife Elizabeth b. abt 1819 GA. They had children: William b.abt 1844 AL, Elizabeth b.1854 TX, James b.abt 1855 TX, and Joseph b.abt 1858 TX per the 1860 Panola Beat 12 census. By 1870 James H. does not appear on the census with Elizabeth(last name spelled "Waters") and children; Elizabeth, James and now Fannie b. abt 1866. After 1870 the family seems to vanish. Would someone be able to look up info on this family for any records. A member of the Watters family has done some lookup, but there are some confusions with the name and probably a couple of brothers of James Harrison Watters. One who appears to be his brother Tom also had a wife named Elizabeth who was a few years younger than James H.'s wife, and both had daughters name Elizabeth apparently. Elizabeth b.1854 TX may have married a W.M.Harris 8/25/1870 and moved to Tyler Co. by 1900. Any help in solving the mystery of what happened to this family would be most appreciated.
