Dotson-Garrett Springs-Mt. Carmel Church

I am looking for someone who is familiar with the old MT. CARMEL BAPTIST CHURCH in the Garrett Springs or Garrett Community near Dotson. I am assuming it no longer exists based on the online Handbook of Texas article. Anyway, I am interested for several reasons. According to a 1936 letter by M. S. Steger of the Walton Community, the old East Texas (Sacred Harp) Musical Convention was organized at the Mt. Carmel Church. At least two Sacred Harp singing preachers pastored the Mt. Carmel Church - Eld. J. F. McLendon of Clayton, and my great-grandfather, M. L. Vaughn of Mt. Enterprise. My great-grandfather pastored there in the early 1900s.

Some questions I have are:
Where was the building located?
Is is possible that any old church records exist?
Is there a cemetery there?
Is that the only Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Panola County?
