Early 1900s elementary schools near Terry or Oilla

In reading through a 1983 issue of LAS SABINAS about the Kishi (Japanese) Colony, referenced is made to the 'Terry school' and the 'Granger school.' Since the W. R. Granger Cemetery is located in/near Duncan Woods, I assume that these schools were located in this area. Does anyone have any knowledge of these schools?
Also, does anyone know if the ORANGE LEADER or BEAUMONT ENTERPRISE archives are on-line?
Thank you for your assistance.
