Acadians vs. French Canadians

Larry:
The Acadians were those expelled by the English out of Nova Scotia (original name Acadie). Some settled in the original 13 states, some were deported back to France, and some came to Louisiana. These (and the people who came from those ORIGINALLY from Acadie) and those to whom we refer as Acadians, shortened to Cajuns.
I do NOT know the origin of the CREOLE people.
