Mike,
Hi! This is Lisa. I have a new e-mail address:
lisamonk7@hotmail.com

Yesterday I had to go to a meeting in Jasper and on my lunch hour went by the court house to see if I could find out when Samuel Turner and family moved. I knew it was between 1850 and 1860 and found in the deed index 6 Mar 1858. They had the copy of the actual deed! It is about 3 pages and lists the entire lineage of the land from the first owner. I didn't get a chance to read it until later but it had the date he bought the land also. I'll try to get that record someday. I only had a few minutes or I would have gotten more documents. There were land sales for the following names in that time period (other than Samuel) Ruffin Turner, William Turner and Isom Turner. Now, for Ruffin there were MANY land sales, aparently he sold a lot of land before he left. I wonder about the William and Isom! They have the deeds from 1849 to present!
