I am a daughter of Dean Morris Riley. His father, brother and sister in law were killed in this boating accident. The only information that my mothers family had about my dad was this story of the boating accident. My mother Violet Dooley Riley died in 1966 leaving 9 children. We were all adopted out to different families at different times. I was adopted in 1967 along with my brother Rick and Ronald to a family in Rock Island, IL. A couple of the girls went to Decatur, IL. The twins went to some place in Indiana to be adopted. My brother Robert stayed with our dad, Dean, until he was about 7 or 8 when Dean walked out on him. He ended up in foster care. The information that you have researced and found for us has been amazing. We now have answers to alot of questions that before we could not find. I cannot express how much I appreciate the time and effort you have put into this research.
