I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. On or about 10 Sept 1877 Deputy Sheriff Thomas Shaw was stabbed to death while transporting a prisoner to jail. I am searching for any surviving family members and would like to locate his place of burial. He was from a prominent family and his brother's wife, Rose Dunne Shaw, was a teacher and has en elementary school named after her. Holy Cross Cemetery reports to have Shaw's buried there.
