Barbara,
Since you know when and where she died there should be no problem getting the certificate from the County (where she died) or the State of Texas. Go to www.vitalrec.com for instructions on ordering death certificates. There is no guarantee that her parent's names or her state of birth will be on the certificate. The information for the certificate is provided by and "informant" (named on the certificate and usually a family member) and it will all depend on how knowledgeable he/she was concerning the deceased and her family.
