OK, we're beginning to narrow down the search. Edom is in Van Zandt Co, TX, not Navarro, and there are 4 towns named Redland in TX, one is in Van Zandt Co, and that county would be considered "East" TX. It's just a couple of counties away from Navarro.

You say Frank lived along with his brothers and their wives, so I think you probably know more than you realize.

Name of Frank's wife?
Name/names of Frank's brothrs?

There are 5 other men named Adams in Duke's 2nd Reg. Often men joined up with brothers, or fathers and sons, who better to watch their backs in battle????

James L.
James M.

The two named James might be father and son. My husband's ancestors named James Rambo and James Rambo (father and son) joined up together from MS.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
