My great grandmother, Maggie Weaver Ross, was buried there in 1962. My mother's aunt was the last one buried there I think and I believe that it was in the early 1970's. I remember going to a "Homecoming"Day there when I was very little (mid 1960s). There were boards set up between the trees that the food was placed on and my daddy carried me to the back of the cemetary to see where my great and great great grandparents were buried. They told me that the first person buried there was a little girl who was on a wagon train and died while passing through the area. It is in a clearing surrounded by trees. They said she was buried there to keep the Indians from finding her. The last time I was there was either 1993 or 1994. Would sure love to go back!! Hope some of this might help you.
