Hit a brick wall....Jacob HARRIS was born around 1839-41 in Illinois. Parents unknown but he has a brother named Andrew Jackson Harris born around 1832.
Andrew and Jacob both came to Texas and are found living next to each other in 1870 in Hood County, TX. Jacob (also listed as J. R.) is listed on the NAVARRO County, TX 1880 census with wife Elizabeth and children Mary, George, Nancy, and Tabitha. Nancy will go on and marry her first cousin (Andrew's son) Robert.
Does anyone have any input on this Jacob? I can't find him after 1880 or before 1860 on a census.
