Trying to verify family of John C and his cousin Mary J. McKey, believed married abt 1872. They had some children and presume Mary J. died in childbirth or shortly thereafter, as was a common cause of women's death. She was not listed in 1880 Texas census, but John C was in Nac Cty ( Chireno) living in his Uncle Thomas' household in 1880, marrital status was "widower". His Uncle Thos was also, then, his father-in-law. John C born abt 1849 in MS son of David Wm. Mackey. Have a letter sent from Russelville, Ark by John C's dtr by 1st marriage to JC after he had remarried( another cousin) and settled in Nac Cty. Letter dated 1889 written by a girl( Mae) probably in her teens. Looking to find the 1st family of John C. and Mary J. Any help is appreciated. Mary J beleved born in AL abt 1854 + or -.
