Cara, I have a lot of information on the Parmleys back
to the 1500's, this posting is so old but if you are

Two sisters, Cyntha and Lucinda Parmley married brothers, Job and John Weatherly and came to Texas. Their mother,
Polly died about this time and their father Samuel Parmley and some of his other children came also. Check the
1850 Nacogdoches census. It could be spelled Parmalee,
Parmelia but Parmley has been used frequently. The original emigrants came in Conn. in 1590, it does sound
early but that is what the information said.
