I am needing information on a story that has been told to me about this family. It seems that Elias M Eubank b:1781 Amherst, Va. and his family came to Nacogodoches county in 1835 and were massacred in 1837-1840 by Indians. It was supposed to have happened about the same time or close to the same time as the Council House Massacre of the same time frame. The date of their death given to me is 15 Sep 1840. If anyone in this county can shed some light on this subject please do so.I am researching the Eubank family because it is connected to my mothers side of the family.I would like to know if it happened and where they might be buried. Thanks in advance to anyone that can give me some much needed information on this.
