I do genealogy usually for a fee, but I am making this post on behalf of a descendent of Joseph Hawlk (no fee). We have in hand info on him that shows he was b 15 Jan 1894 in Texas and died 14 Dec 1967 in Huntsville TX. He is reported to have been buried in Nacogdoches TX but was a resident of Tyler, Smith, Texas. This information also shows his parents as being Jim Hawlk and Mollie Woods.
We also have in hand info on a Joseph Samuel Hawlk who was born 9 July 1939 and died 11 February 2008. In all probability this gentleman was the son of the first mentioned person in this post. There were several children born to the Hawlk family in Smith County TX in the 1930's.
Searches of census records from three sources does not show either of them or their families. The Smith County cemetery records indices do not show either of them.
Perhaps an obituary from 14 December 1967 or close to that would give the info this descendent seeks. So would someone care to be so kind and so helpful as to help one who undoubtedly is unable to pay a fee for her background?
