Funeral for Roy Stinson, 80, of 523 Arbor Oak, Nacogdoches, was at 2 p.m. today, Monday, in Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor Samuel Hope of Seventh Day Adventist Church officiated.

Mr. Stinson died Saturday morning, Feb. 20, in Medical Center Hospital.

Born June 25, 1907 in Douglass, he was the son of J.C. and Gracie Goodman Stinson. He married Marie Williams Oct. 4, 1940 and she survives him. He has been a resident of Nacogdoches for 12 years, coming to the city from Beaumont. He was a retired construction pipe fitter. He was affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Stinson of Nacogdoches; a daughter, Thelma McGee of Woodville; a sister, Lila Rich of Keene; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Russell Yoxtheimer, David McCarley, Kenneth Shotwell, Michael Butler, Durwood Butler and Danny Mixon.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors of Nacogdoches.

The above information is, or appears to be, somehow connected to the family in question.
