Hi Lockie

I'm researching the family of Thomas Pinkney Cole and Sarah Frances Judkins. The Margaret Cole you asked about appears to be one of their daughters.

I'm almost certain I'm descended from their son James "Jim" Cole (2 Sep 1859 - 11 Jun 1940). Jim Cole's obituary in the Waco Times-Herald mentions "...a brother, John Henry Cole of Douglas, two sisters, Mesdames Mollie Clavanger and M. Hartles of Douglas".

My mother had a couple of photos with Hartless family in them, though I don't recall all the names. They would have been her second cousins.

Margaret seems to appear on Nacogdoches censuses as follows:

1880, as Margaret E. Cole
1900, as Margaret E. Hartless wife of Joseph, married 5 years
1910, as Elizabeth Hartless wife of Joe, married 14 years
1920, as Elizabeth Hartless wife of Joe
1930, as Margaret E. Heartless [sic] wife of Joe

Let me know if we have a connection. I'm looking for any family history that goes back to T. P. Cole & Sarah Frances Judkins.
