By now you may have found what you wanted, if not a couple of suggestions. I assume Bobby Ray is your father??? If so, does he have a copy of his birth certificate? Forms for vital records vary over time, but often the name and age of the parents is shown, sometimes even the occupation of the father.

John Frank Davis is pretty common so if you could learn his age in 1941, this would help to narrow down your search.

Does anyone in the family know when and where they were married? If so, you could obtain a copy of the marriage application. Not the license or certificate, but the application. Couples fill out an application to obtain a license and after married they receive the certificate. BUT the application is where all the personal information is asked. Names, ages, current residence of bride and groom? Is it a first marriage? Names of their parents?

Happy Hunting (^_^)
