Strange TURNER marriage license-HELP!!!!

This week I picked up a copy of a marriage license for James Turner and Mary Johnson in Montgomery County, Texas thinking the license was for my grandfather's brother and his wife. My uncle, James Turner was born 1881/82 probably in Angelina County, Texas and died 1954 in Walker County, Texas. His wife was born 1886 and died 1987 (101 years!) They are both buried at Pool Cemetery at Union Grove Baptist Church Montgomery County, Texas. James Turner married Mary Johnson 7 April 1903. When I was a young girl we visited them in their home in Huntsville, Texas. James was a Baptist preacher and a prison guard at the Huntsville Prison.

Now for my strange Turner marriage license:

It is for a James Turner that married Mary Johnson in Montgomery County, Texas and the date of the marriage is - NOW GET THIS !!!

7 April 1870..... that's 10 to 12 years before my James was even born!

My question: Could there have been 2 James Turner's that each married a girl named Mary Johnson on the same wedding day? HELP!!!!!

The license is signed by Daniel D. (unable to read the last name), minister of the Gospel.

I would appreciate any help on this one.
